MC-60 and MC-60A are two different microphones. Well actually the same mic but the MC-60A has the preamp whereas the MC-60 does not. The MC-60A has a history of being prone to RFI as others here have said. The lack of bass response may be due to a series capacitor failing and going very low in value which reduces the bass freqs.
